What is the Universitys Ontario Provincial Sales Tax Exemption Number?
• A: The provincial government issues PST exemption numbers to vendors purchasing goods for re-sale purposes. However, when acquiring goods and services for use in Ontario an exemption certificate must be submitted to the vendor for conditional exemptions allowable under the act. The PST exemption form can be downloaded from the Forms section of this site. It is important to note that very few purchases are PST exempt. Please refer to the Sales Tax Guidelines in the Help section of this site for a general list of items that are PST exempt when used for research purposes.
