What is the UNH-IOL DSL Consortium?

0

The DSL Consortium is a world class test house for ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2plus, VDSL, and VDSL2 products. The consortium brings together members and industry to foster interoperability among DSL products and increase the market feasibility of DSL technology. Like other UNH-IOL Consortiums, the DSL Consortium is fully funded by our member companies. Members of the DSL Consortium are industry leaders who have shown a commitment to the interoperability of DSL technologies and have agreed to contribute to the DSL Consortium test bed. The DSL Consortium began as the ADSL Consortium in December 1997. The ADSL Consortium and its members made the decision to become the DSL Consortium in October of 2005. The newly formed consortium expanded the scope of the ADSL Consortium to include testing and interoperability events for VDSL and VDSL2 products through a “basic” and “full” membership program.
