What is the underlying cause of phobias?

0

I believe it has to do with a person associating a certain object, event or situation with an intense reaction to stress internally. The person experiences a very strong feeling of fear, anxiety or discomfort internally and then associates it with what is happening at the time in his or her immediate environment. This forms a trigger that will cause the reaction to happen again when the two are pared together. I hope you are doing OK. Best Wishes.
