What is the UNCG Student Laptop Initiative?
The UNCG Student Laptop Initiative is supported by Information Technology Services (ITS) and results from an increasing interest in a technology-enabled teaching and learning environment and a developing campus-wide wireless computing infrastructure. Since the fall of 2006, students will be able to enjoy wireless connectivity from most areas on campus, including classrooms. In the fall semester of 2007, all incoming traditional freshmen (full-time, non-transfer, etc.) will be required to have a laptop that at least meets the program’s minimum requirements (http://its.uncg.edu/Laptop/).
