What is the ultimate goal for Yum-o!?
Our goal is to empower kids and families across the country with the knowledge and confidence they need to get in the kitchen and prepare meals in a way that fits into their lifestyle and budget. To that end, we are putting great recipes and ideas out there, listening to parents’ and kids’ concerns about cooking and nutrition and working to engage parents in what their kids are eating both at school and at home. Beyond that, we want to see a meaningful reduction in the number of hungry kids by working with our partners across the country to ensure that kids have the food they need to grow and learn. Finally, we want to ensure that kids have the opportunity to learn more about cooking and food in their schools, and have the means to continue to learn should they choose to pursue careers in the food industry. Cook, Feed, Fund, that’s what Yum-o! is all about.
