What is the ultimate aim of the research at the Marie Curie Research Institute?
A. Dr Goding’s group are working towards identifying novel targets for anti-cancer drugs. Current treatment of metastatic melanoma is ineffective and there is an urgent need to develop new and effective treatments. This can only be done is we have a thorough understanding of how the normal pigment cells function and how the changes that have taken place in melanomas have altered these cells.
