What is the UC Irvine Health Sciences Ombuds Office?
The ombuds office is a designated neutral and independent resource available to all members of the UC Irvine Health Sciences community. The office provides confidential and informal assistance in getting academic or work-related issues addressed and resolved. The ombuds is not an advocate for any person, group or organization, including the university. Rather, the ombuds encourages all parties to observe UC Irvine’s core values. The ombuds office is independent of the university’s organizational structure and reports directly to the Chancellor’s office for administrative and budgetary purposes only. This independence allows the ombuds office to provide community members with a confidential place to share concerns.
