What is the UC Davis Code of Academic Conduct?
The UC Davis Code of Academic Conduct is a campus policy that places shared responsibility for maintaining academic integrity on students and faculty — both have important roles to play in ensuring that student academic work is honest, in upholding standards of academic excellence, and in creating an environment that promotes learning and the discovery of new knowledge. The Code was enacted by vote and approval of students and faculty in 1976. Before adopting the Code of Academic Conduct, UC Davis had a traditional student-run honor code for more than 50 years.
