What is the U.S. Department of Justice Global Justice Extensible Markup Language (XML)?
XML is a technology used by RISS that allows for communication between Web-based applications. The RISS Data Exchange Specification (RISSDES) has been modified to reflect the latest XML standards published by the Global Intelligence Working Group. RISSDES is promoted to law enforcement agencies connecting to RISSNET to facilitate the sharing of their criminal intelligence information with RISS member agencies.
