What is the typical working week?
As a guide, a typical student would be expected to study for approximately 40 hours per week. Roughly half of this time will involve lectures, tutorials, design workshops, laboratory experiments and field trips. You will be expected to utilise the remaining time in private study, including coursework, designs, writing up laboratory/field reports and exam preparation. Private study is an essential part of university learning. The examinations test your understanding of engineering principles and your skill in solving problems.
