Other factors that can significantly impact these costs include: • the electrical system interconnection (interlocks, protection and safety systems) • the gas supply systems, including mains extensions, supply pressure requirements and associated gas safety systems • the size and type of installation; for example, small gas engines (<500 kW output) cost significantly more per unit output than a 1.5 MW output plant.
