The data rate of the uncompressed RAW stream from the camera head in 12-bit, 1080/24P format is 74.6MB/s. This is compressed at our highest quality mode setting to an average 20MB/s CineForm RAW™ data stream, for a compression ratio of 3.5:1. Because of the efficiency of wavelets and the variable bit rate encoding of the CineForm RAW™ codec, the visual quality is better than a DCT codec running at 4:1 or less compression ratio.
