What is the turnaround time to manufacture?
The short answer is a whole lot less than you’d ever imagine. For example, an organized professional shop specializing in tailored jackets can complete a completely lined suit jacket in 27 minutes, multiply that by the number of stitchers (say 50 sewers) and you’d have a total output of 100 tailored jackets an hour. Now, is this possible for you, and is it possible for you at your stage of professional development? That’s a question I can’t answer because I don’t know how prepared you are. In general I would say that in working with start-ups, things take much, much longer than they should because the designer is not fully prepared, has not hired good people (or can’t afford them) and then there’s always some kind of problem that’s been overlooked; for example, the contractor has received everything they need except for the sew in labels.
