The Trust has adopted a distribution policy to make regular quarterly distributions of US$0.0214 per unit, while reinvesting a portion of the distributable income. Declaration of the distribution and the quantum to be distributed are at the discretion of the Board of Rickmers Trust Management Pte. Ltd. In view of the current difficult operating environment, the Board has decided that it would be prudent to accelerate cash retention efforts in order to strengthen the Trusts balance sheet and improve its financial flexibility. Hence, the Trust made a distribution of 0.6 US cents per unit for 2Q2009, representing 13% of distributable income. A similar distribution per unit (DPU) of 0.6 US cents has also been declared for 3Q2009. Going forward, the Board of Rickmers Trust Management will decide on the quantum of the distribution on a quarterly basis.
