The first ever Triple L Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon – 800 meter swim, 20K bike, 5K run. Racers swim in the Gunpowder River at the beautiful Gunpowder Falls State Park Hammerman Area. The bike and run courses are along scenic roads in the park and nearby neighborhoods. Approximately 200 athletes are expected to race the Triple L Triathlon in 2004. All proceeds go to La Leche League of MD-DE-DC directly helping mothers and babies.
