Skeletal tuberculosis: As per the revised national tuberculosis program skeletal tuberculosis is considered as category III and the following treatment is recommended: INH 300mg per day Rifampicin 450mg per day Pyrazinamide 1.5G per day The above combination for 2 months followed by 4 months INH,Rifampicin. TB spine can be considered as seriously ill alloted Category I and treated with Streptomycin 0.75G or Ethambutol 800mg per day in addition to the drugs INH,Rifampicin +Pyrazinamide in the first 2 months.The usual continuation phase of 4 months INH and Rifampicin.
