My cat is 20 and was successfully treated with the radioiodine shot almost two years ago! I just couldn’t see putting her through a surgery that may or may not work and/or still require daily meds. She was treated at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa and had to stay 3 days…(until she was no longer radioactive…but the treatment was just ONE shot…BAM, cured) Good Luck.
