Our busiest season is May through September. Holidays are also a very busy time here on the Outer Banks. Check-in day for the vast majority of the vacation homes on the Northern Outer Banks is either Saturday or Sunday. The standard check-in time for all property management companies in the area is 4PM. The heaviest concentrations of traffic coming onto the Outer Banks and heading north up Route 12 are generally found between the hours of 2 PM and 7 PM. Arriving early provides guests with a good chance of missing the heaviest traffic, but they will have to find a way to occupy their family until they can check into their home at 4 PM. (A limited number of 1:00 pm check-ins are available on a first come/first served basis for a fee. Please contact our office if you are interested).
