What is the Traffic Direction dimension?
The traffic direction is the direction that you walk into a facility. It is the mat dimension that is equal to the distance you travel as you walk across the grid or mat. When reporting this dimension, it is best to designate the dimension with “T.D.” (ie. 10′ 6″ x 8′ 3″ (T.D.)). This is very important because many grids have a required traffic direction and will be less effective is not installed in the correct orientation.
