What is the track meet?
The Zone VI track meet is an all-day event, opening at 8am and finishing at 6pm. A schedule will be given out prior to the meet with the times for each event. Parents and kids may come and go as necessary according to the schedule. Last year there were 500 kids participating at the Zone VI track meet. SEAS was the second largest team with 94 kids. Anyone finishing 1st or 2nd place in the Zone meet will qualify for the City meet. The City meet is nearly an all-day event, but because of the qualification requirements there are fewer kids at the City meet. Last year SEAS qualified kids in 28 different individual events and 4 relay teams. Half of our kids qualified for the City meet.
