What is the TOP-UP program?
The TOP-UP program is a benefit offered under the Montgomery GI bill. This is a benefit you must have signed up for with the military and be eligible to receive. Many students do have this benefit, but not all. The TOP-UP program will cover the balance of the tuition NOT covered by TA IF, and this is very important only IF, you have do not exceed your cap. If you exceed the $4,500 cap, you will not receive TA or TOP-UP and will need to consider other resources such as financial aid.
