What is the TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline standard?
Six of the world’s top auto makers – Audi, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen – believe the gasoline you choose makes a difference and agree that gunky build-up can decrease the performance of your vehicle, decrease its fuel economy and increase emissions. To try to raise the bar on fuel quality, these auto manufacturers introduced a voluntary standard for gasoline detergency known as the TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline standard.
