What is the TOEFL and who should take it?
TOEFL stands for the Test of English as a Foreign Language. The test is required for all international students to prove their proficiency in English. If a student received their undergraduate degree from an accredited American university, they are waived from taking the TOEFL. The Admissions Committee looks for a minimum TOEFL of 213 (electronic) or 550 (paper) but prefers a higher TOEFL score in general. For students who do not achieve a strong TOEFL score, the Committee might recommend admission to the MBA Program but with the requirement that a student complete the INTERLINK English as a Second Language Program that is available here at UNCG.
