The student collaborators will decide upon the SPIRIT 2 timeline. Generally speaking, however, the planning stage will extend into the early months of 2002. In the spring of 2002, a Design Review will take place at Wallops Flight Facility (WFF). The experiments will then be built and combined to form the payload. During the summer of 2002, the payload integrity will be tested at WFF. The launch will take place during the fall of 2002. Data will be analyzed in the months that follow. • Once we arrive at the launch site, how long will we remain there? At this time we do not know the answer to this question. When we do, those on the mailing list will be notified. • Who will record and analyze the data from the experiment? Once again, the student teams will decide who takes charge of specific duties, however, it will be undergraduates from Clemson and Penn State who perform these duties. • How will data be taken?
