What is the timeline for transitioning to Google Apps?
All students and faculty affiliated with a College and staff will be required to migrate to Google Mail. Some research centers are still evaluating security issues related to their particular contracts, but we expect that to be resolved soon. We have chosen to provide a generous window for individuals to opt-in to Google Mail in timeframe that will not disrupt their work and will accommodate personal schedules. We anticipate offering a window of several months. As the window for opting-in comes to a close and deadline for transition approaches, that information will be clearly communicated to all.
