What is the timeline for the GCY application & acceptance process?
• Acceptance: Decisions will be made on after each of our 3 deadlines. • Deposits: A $500 non-refundable deposit will be due 2 weeks after the acceptance decision. I’m currently a college freshman – can I apply? Unfortunately, Global Citizen Year is a program targeted specifically for students during the year between the end of high school and the beginning of college. There are other bridge year programs that are open to students who have already started college, which we would encourage you to explore. What criteria are used in the selection process? In selecting our Founding Fellows, we are looking for students who have the necessary characteristics to thrive in our intensive program, and who are committed to helping us build GCY for the future. Our application process is intentionally rigorous, and is designed to identify Fellows with high potential as leaders and agents of change.
