What is the timeline for payments / paperwork submission?
• The VA is currently operating on an approximately 6 to 8 week delay for all the portions of the process that require their action. This means the delay from first application for benefits to final payment can range from 12 to 16 weeks for new veteran students and 18 to 24 weeks for new dependent students. We recommend applying for initial eligibility for benefits as early as possible. Continuing students who have already been approved for benefits by the VA and are submitting their semester request for funding will see only the 6 to 8 week delay for payment.
