What is the timeline for implementing a solution?
It is too early in the process to specify a precise timeline for bringing Guam in compliance with the Consent Decree. The Receiver first reviewed all documents and other information on file with the Court, prepared a request for additional information from the Department of Public Works, conducted site visits and held meetings in Guam in April. The Receiver also took into account the opinions of the people who know Guam best – its leaders and citizens. After this comprehensive review, the Receiver is currently working with the Court to prepare an Action Plan that will describe specific action items, cost estimates and a timeline.
