As frustrating as it is to not have a definite timeframe, I actually agree with the way they do it. I have encountered too many developers saying “1 month”, or “1 year”, but unable to deliver. I’d rather KNOW I can’t know, and then be happy when it comes out, rather than expect a timeframe and likely be disapointed when it doesn’t come out…
