What is the time line for receiving services from the leasing division?
Services are provided upon receipt of the Space Request Form (SRF) and the Space Utilization Questionnaire (SUQ) forms. The space plan usually takes about two (2) weeks, depending on current work load. An assigned leasing coordinator will begin the search for available space. Once several locations (minimum of three) are identified, they are presented to the requesting entity for review and possible site visits. Why do we sign a one (1) year lease? The Georgia State Constitution prohibits the obligation of State funds beyond each fiscal year. Therefore, all State contracts must be for the period of the State fiscal year. All State entities that come through the GSPC Leasing Division must adhere to that constitutional requirement. However, the Leasing division tries to negotiate multiple options to renew for future years. If I need to relocate, when should I send my request in?
