This depends on the time of the year, because of Daylight Savings in the US, but the time is usually 12 or 13 hours ahead of EST in the US. During the winter, it is 13 hours ahead of EST, but during the rest of the year, the time in Hong Kong is 12 hours ahead of EST. So, if for example it is June, and the EST in the US is 10am, it is 10pm in Hong Kong, on the same day.
