Currently, South Korea is 13 hours ahead of New Jersey. When we turn our clocks one hour backwards to mark the end of Daylight Savings Time in November, then South Korea will be 14 hours ahead of New Jersey. So for example, now, it is about 2pm on Saturday the 14th in New Jersey. In South Korea is is 3am on Sunday the 15th. In November, if it were noon in New Jersey, it would be 2am on the next day in South Korea. The map in the link below helps you figure this out. Look for New Jersey and then the letter that signifies it’s time zone on the main map (the letter is R). Then look at the legend in the lower right hand side to find what the letter indicates. You will see that it says “-5” Then look for South Korea and the letter of the time zone it is in (you will see the letter I). Then look for the letter in the chart and you will see “+9”.
