Being a member of the Golduster Dance Team takes commitment. Practice is every day from 3:30 5:30 during the fall semester and two and a half hours three mornings each week during the spring semester. Expect to dedicate 10-20 hours a week during the fall and 4-10 hours during the spring.

Leading Educators commit two years to the program (for details see The Commitment).

The time commitment will depend upon your role within the organization. At a minimum, volunteers will be expected to participate in the orientation program. Other training sessions may also be required for specific personnel. Efforts will be made to make these as succinct as possible. We expect that all members will participate in at least one training/education session or other activity per year to remain an active member.

Time commitment varies greatly from a few hours per week to nearly 30 hours a week. It depends on the students assignment and commitment to the learning experience.

Usually, drills (meetings) are held on two nights and one weekend day per month. The nighttime drills are from 1900-2100 hours (7-9 PM) on Wednesdays. The weekend drills are Saturdays from 0800-1500 hours (8 AM-3 PM). Occasionally, cadets will attend a training weekend. During the summer, cadets participate in overnight training, usually for two weeks.
