What is the time commitment for performers?
All Members take a class 1 hour per week exclusively for DIWC members at Class Act Studios. This time is used for training in drama and musical theatre, and rehearsals. Our Older Company Members take 1 hour drama and a 1 hour musical theatre class per week. One class is used for training in drama, the other for musical theatre repertoire and rehearsals. Rehearsals are usually held on the weekends. In the weeks leading up to a production all performers are asked to keep weekends entirely free to allow for extra rehearsal time. Expect late nights during production week, as well as time away from school as DIWC performs Matinee’s for school age children to attend.
