What is the Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission?
The Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission is a public agency the operates community-based programs for youth who are at-risk of coming or have already come to the attention of the juvenile and domestic relations district courts. The Commission created in the mid 1970’s by the administrators of seven localities in southeastern Virginia. These localities include the cities of Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Franklin, and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton.
