What is the Three Lakes Design Review Area?
Section 14.5 of the Zoning Regulations provides that the Three Lakes Design Review Area is an overlay area upon the existing zoning districts in a certain area along the U. S. Hwy. 34 corridor. Certain design criteria have been applied to the unique natural area formed by the three lakes, Grand Lake, Shadow Mt. Lake and Lake Granby. The visual landscape is a resource that needs to be conserved, therefore, the design criteria were developed to preserve the natural setting and protect scenic views.
