What is the TFL responsibility if Medicares benefits are exhausted?
Unlike Medicare, TRICARE does not have a lifetime maximum. If Medicare and TRICARE are your only two insurances, when Medicare is exhausted then TRICARE will become primary for as long as those benefits are covered. The TRICARE annual deductible of $150.00 per individual is applied, and the appropriate cost share would have to be met by the beneficiary.
