What is the Tennessee Appliance Rebate Program?
The State of Tennessee’s Department of Economic and Community Development, in concert with the U.S. Department of Energy, is making rebates available to Tennessee residents who replace an existing room air conditioner, central air conditioner, air source heat pump, or gas furnace with a new ENERGY STARĀ® qualified model. The rebates are being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and will be available on a first come, first serve basis, based on the postmark date associated with a mailed, signed application with all required information and documentation. The total program funding is $5,660,000.
