Tears (produced in lacrimal gland above the eyeball) flow across the corneal surface, drain into the upper and lower puncta (openings at inner eyelid margins), through the upper and lower canaliculi to the common canaliculus, into the tear sac, then through the nasolacrimal duct into the nose.
