What is the Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA)?

0

The Teaching Performance Assessment is a state-mandated assessment required for all candidates for a Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential after July 1, 2008. The TPA is similar to other state-required assessments, such as CBEST, CSET and RICA, in that its content is related to what is learned and practiced in the credential program but it is an assessment that the program does not actually control. The TPA is designed to assess candidate performance on the Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).
