CSU Long Beach uses the state-developed CalTPA version of the Teaching Performance Assessment. The CalTPA has four parts, or Tasks: Subject-Specific Pedagogy (Task 1), Designing Instruction (Task 2), Assessing Learning (Task 3), and Culminating Teaching Experience (Task 4).
