What is the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights?
In 2000 the Florida Legislature created the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights for property owners in the state of Florida. It guarantees that the rights, privacy, and property of Florida citizens are safeguarded during the assessment, levy, collection, and enforcement of property taxes. The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights is contained in section 192.0105 of the Florida Statutes.
