What is the TAPI interface used for?
The TAPI interface allows agenTel to: • Monitor the telephones of the agents To avoid calls being routed to agents that are already speaking on the phone, and to present a real time overview of the agents in the agent monitor window of the client software. • Detect call transfer anomalies The 3rd party TAPI interface also allows agenTel to detect agent-to-agent transfers so that the pop-up data is also transferred. • Send active TAPI commands If the PBX supports active TAPI commands, the agent client software includes the active TAPI toolbar which offers the agent buttons to answer, disconnect and transfer calls.
