Only take Synthroid on the instructions of your doctor. Do not take bigger doses than what you have been prescribed and do not take it for longer than the course prescribed. The dosage prescribed will be specific to each person depending on the strength of the medication and the condition being treated. Synthroid must be taken with a full glass of water as it dissolves very quickly and could swell in the throat. It should be taken 30 minutes before food preferably in the morning before eating.
