What is the “sympathetic nervous system” and what is the “amygdada”?
The sympathetic nervous system is composed of two almond shaped neural clusters located in the limbic system in the brain. The amygdala influences agression and fear. The limbic system is known to control and influence fear, anger, hunger and sex drive. The sympathetic nervous system is a branch of the autonomic nervous system (which is part of the peripheral nervous system). The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for arousal (like sleeping, waking). These two clearly influence eachother, because when some people get affraid or angry, they use the “flight or flight” method. This method is natural and it is stimulated by fear and arousal.
