What is the Sustainable Communities Act?
The Sustainable Communities Act is a law that came into being in October 2007. It sets up a new process where councils and communities can drive the actions and assistance that central government does and gives to promote sustainability locally. This means that the potential possible implications of the Act for councils and communities are very large, if people choose to use it.
