What is the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS)?
SCMS delivers essential lifesaving medicines and products to HIV/AIDS programs around the world as part of the US Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Through the active, hands-on involvement of 13 international team member organizations, SCMS works to strengthen supply chains to enable the scale-up of HIV/AIDS care and treatment in developing countries. As part of our mission, SCMS: • operates a safe, secure, and reliable supply chain to buy and distribute high-quality, low-cost essential medicines, HIV test kits, laboratory supplies and other products; • strengthens the capacity of national supply chains to ensure long-term sustainability; and • supports supply chain collaboration and information-sharing among global and local partners in the HIV/AIDS community.
