What is the Supplemental Retirement Benefit (SRB)?

0

Your decision to retire under the retirement incentive confirms your agreement to forfeit any amount of accumulated annual leave, sick leave, and other deferred leave hours or other additional amount you would have otherwise been eligible to receive at retirement. Beginning January 2011, you will receive an SRB for 60 months, in addition to your pension, in payments of 1/60 the amount you forfeited as described above. The Supplemental Retirement Benefit (SRB) does not include banked leave time. See the FAQ below for more information on banked leave time. Note: This is not the same as the supplemental pension that covered employees (correction officers and conservation officers) may normally be eligible to receive. Updated on October 14, 2010 3.
