What is the Suggested Relationship column?
On the Family Finder Matches page, the Suggested Relationship column shows the statistically most likely relationship for each of your matches. The calculation is based on the size and number of Identical By Descent (IBD) segments shared between you and a match. The Family Finder program provides two predictions of relatedness for each relative on your list: Suggested Relationship and Relationship Range. Although the suggested relationship is the most likely one you should consider the full spectrum of the relationship range when evaluating traditional genealogical records.
