What is the success rate of applications?
It is difficult to give a definite answer on this because interest in the scheme has increased substantially in the last few years. Although there have been a lot more applications, the funding was increased in 2007/08 and so we were able to award more bursaries. We have been able to slightly more students in 2008/09. There are certainly a number of applications each year that are unsuccessful so it is important to ensure that any application submitted is clearly linked to the criteria.
